The Miller family received their ALS diagnosis in 2015. In typical Tom Miller fashion he responded to the news by stating "Well, I don't understand how that can happen cause I've never played baseball" a joke referring to Lou Gehrig. Their family has welcomed the uninvited guest of ALS into their lives with grace and purpose, creating Winning With ALS to serve families just like theirs.
